I had asked prior to my trip how likely it would be if someone were to switch seats as we did not pay for assigned seats. I realized after I posted it was probably a silly question
as most people would have paid for seats together. However, pixie dust started our trip with several others being in the same boat as us and DH and I were able to sit together.
The pixie dust didn't end there.....on our return, our seats weren't even close to each other. At least, on the way down to WDW we were run row apart and each had an aisle seat (until we switched). Figured it is what it is and we'd have our ipods and meet up with each other at the end of the flight. At MCO we were called up to the desk and told we were now sitting next to each other. Asked for those boarding passes back....and then gave us a complimentary upgrade to business class.
All in all, Air Tran was great....plane clean, left on time and arrived early both ways. Stewards/stewardess were wonderful.
