airtran - should I wait for possible web specials?

My dates are Sunday 11/25 - Sunday 12/2. I'm holding out right now because flights are $99. But, I don't want to wait too long. But, then again, web specials may be offered later.

Another thing is we're flying on Sundays, apparently a very busy flying day, so the chances for these prices to go down are even less I think.

What do you all think?

I say go on and get them. $99 is a great price especially on Sundays. The sooner you get them at a decent price you will have one less thing to worry about. :thumbsup2

Being you are leaving on Thanksgiving weekend, I would book the $99 flight down now. You might be able to wait for a special for your return flight. Just as an example, from Detroit on Nov. 25th, there is very limited availability - no $89 (regular rate)flights left. Even more sparse from Flint. For Dec. 2nd return, there is still availability left. Put in the max # of passengers to possibly get an idea how booked the flight is. That's what I did when I was waiting for the rate to go down. I booked for Sept. yesterday on Airtran. That price went down $20 about 5 days ago but not as busy at that time of year.

Good luck! I hope you can get some kind of discount:)

Call Disney....:thumbsup2 ...even if you are a DVC member...they seem to have a special with Airtran - I got 4 tickets for Labor Day Weekend for 617 RT TL(inc taxes etc)...This price was lower than the web special that was going on at the time when I booked.

I am also searching for better air fare. Last year we flew down for $99 RT on Air Tran, but haven't found anything like that yet this year. I'm starting to get nervous - it feels like a gamble to wait, but also a gamble to purchase now!

I'm in a similar situation. (Dec 1-9 from Dayton).
If you're flying out of Philadelphia, I'd say get them while you can, especially if you're going through Atlanta.

If you're taking a nonstop from a smaller airport, it's a much better gamble to wait for a sale, as I am doing (so far anyway). There WILL be a sale, as there is currently for flights through Nov 7; it's been going on for several days now. You might want to check on what is happening a few weeks before your trip, if your flights are sold out on those dates. That might give you some guidance.
