ok back when they opened up reserve seats I paid $5 for each seat we needed today I went over to page to check the flight still being intack, and now it says seats at $7.50, I called them and ask what was up I had prepaid for those seats at $5. and she said the price went up so you will have to pay the extra at checkin. I told her I felt that was unfair what if the price of my flight changed would they expect me to pay more now and she said probably not. just another surprise from Airtran

well, i guess i better check my ressie because i paid $5 for each seat when I booked my November flights a few months ago. It doesn't sound right that they would make you pay the difference if the seats were already paid for

That can't be right. I'd call back and speak to someone else. I purchased my seats at $5 and I don't plan on paying any more than that. There isn't anything on the contract that says that fee can be changed.

I did call back and explained I had purchased all seats when I booked flight and it had been charged to my card and now it says $7.50 and the person said yes it is $7.50 each seat I told her I felt that was not fair I had already paid for the seats, I said well what if I decide to cancel the seats completely and she said I would be charged $60.00 per change with 11 of us going I think not. I said well I paid $99.00 for my seats and now they are like $129. are you going to raise my flight tickets also and she did say not at this time we probably won't be doing that. She did offer to charge my cc now for the addition $2.50 per seat and I said no I am not done with this issue yet, and hung up

I don't know. I just looked at my booking info and it says $40 for seat fees. It shows it's paid. I'm not giving them any more. I really can't see them charging everyone checking in an extra $2.50 at the airport. What a mess!! I imagine if you were changing your seat now they might charge the extra. But I think as long as you leave your reservation alone they won't change a thing. I haven't heard of anyone that's flown recently being charged. And I'm sure there would have been a thread a mile long if someone got charged the extra at check-in.

well thank goodness I kept and printed all info as I booked so my cc shows I did pay for the sets and the reservation and my confirmation papers from the website shows paid, guess I well see in Dec when we get there
