First off, I'm really sorry to be bugging you guys about air fare etc but I trust my Canadian friends a great deal:lovestruc

So I just played around on AT's website and their price for my day has dropped a bit - it is now $126 each way down from $155. I am comfortable with this price and am so wanting to book it so it's out of the way. BUT, we have only flown SWA and JT before. So, will SWA drop their prices as well. One way is $205 for us and not going to pay that much, though I can get 3 tickets out on JB for $155 but that means later flights.

Hence my question is what other fees am I looking at on AT other than luggage? We really don't mind sitting separate as long as one parent is with each kid.

Oh to add to this, Allegiant released their fares and it's half the price of AT, but after the Direct Air fiasco, I'm kinda worried about using them and then there is the car rental to think about as well.

Any input greatly appreciated:)

Number one...never apologize for coming here to ask questions...that's why we are all here..sometimes we have to ask a question and sometimes we have the answer.:surfweb:

Number two...while I can't answer your question, I can say that we are sisters from another mother apparently. I have only flown SW and have been stalking the Airtran, JB, and SW sites for a decent price on our Oct flights.

I bit the bullet on the flight down and went with JB for $155. The time was right, we are excited about trying a new airline and I was afraid the price was only going to go up.

For the flight back I wanted the Airtran flight because it was later but with the fees they charge for baggage and seat selection I didn't want to pay $155. Thanks to you, I just got them at the $126 price! Thank you!!:flower3:

I got the time I wanted and the price is better than originally posted. I am holding off on selecting seats. Having never flown with them I'm not sure how it will work if we don't pick a seat now...going to maybe stalk the site and see if I can track the available seats and make a decision later.

Thanks again for posting your question! :thumbsup2 Good luck with your decision!pixiedust:

I would grab the flights. I am going to Disney next month and only booked part of our flights through air tran cause it was $140 return with AT and I thought I would wait and it would go down..well the past few months I have been watching like crazy and it's skyrocketed (right now $492). It's come down to about $202 a couple of times and next time I am grabbing it. But I wish I had grabbed it months ago. Check jet blue though just to compare because Jet blues price is including baggage so if it's around the same price it's a better deal.

Oh and a trick with the flights I noticed with airtran. If you pick your seats in advance and then do 24 hour check in the day before and move your seats they will refund you the charge for the seat ;)

I don't remember paying any other fees with Air Tran besides seat selection and baggage fees.

I tried looking at flights this morning for either December of January just for an idea but it is not even available yet.

The last two January trips for us to Orlando we have paid $69 there and $79 back. I am hoping I can score the same, but I hear prices keep going up.

..but do you not have to pay for the new seat selections?

Thanks OP!:thumbsup2 I just read your thread and saved $70.00 on our September flights! You rock!:goodvibes
