This is NOT a complaint. This is something I find humorous and ironic. I booked Airtran on a non-stop flight for August. Gets us arriving in MCO at 1:50 pm. Not the most desirable time, but it is a non-stop. The flights were only $68 each way so I ABSOLUTELY can deal with the time! Anyway...Airtran ALWAYS changes their flight times...at least according to the Dis.

So...I got to thinking. If they change the time, I can try to change my flight to the evening before (why I didn't think of this INITIALLY when I booked is just a gliche in my thinking process - excitment about booking a flight for Disney???? Definitely can cause gliches).

So, here I am. A couple months after booking. Not ONE single change in time or flight. Not by even a minute! LOL.... Figures. Mine will probably be the one flight that sticks... Yet...I am SOOOO happy about going to Disney that it just makes me giggle. The one person who wants their flight to change, and it is as stuck as stuck gets. LOL

hahahahaha. We were in the same boat, I decided I would have preferred an earlier flight. I checked and checked and checked and checked, but Airtran is quite stable out of Milwaukee, so no such luck.

I agree with you, according to disboards, airtran makes changes all the time, bahaha. (of course, if you check facts on websites like flightstats.com then you know that airtran changes/cancels no more than anyone else)

anyway your post made me giggle!

I've been secretly wishing the same thing for my October flight as well! I just didn't want to say it out loud because with my luck, they'd change the flight to the following day, and cancel the 1 flight on the day I leave, leaving me a WDW day short!

I'm in the same boat with Delta. I have frequent flyer tickets and the latest time I could get out of MCO was 12:50. I had hoped for an early evening flight. So I've been patiently waiting for a schedule change so that I could try for something later. They changed it to 12:10! I called and they said it had to be more than 90 minutes to change. So I'm still watching it!

You should have tried calling again to get a different agent. Another agent could have made the change for you. They have no hard and fast rule on this.

Not THAT stable out of Milwaukee as I have had my flights change quite a few times on Airtran. Sometimes a lot, and sometimes a few minutes. I almost always can use those changes to my benefit to get a better flight. Sometimes that doesn't work though so I always book a flight I can live with, even if it isn't the exact flight I'd want.

I've used AT many times and the biggest change they have made to my flight was an extra 15 minutes on a layover. Last year they changed my departure, on a non stop to MCO, by 8 minutes. I don't really consider a change by only a few minutes a 'change'.

Good luck with getting on another flight.

I wanted that to happen last year with Airtran because I wanted to come in a day early for a Food & Wine Festival event. Booked the event, but was going to have to pay Airtran a change fee if they didn't change my flight somehow.

Eventually they did. They only changed the time by a few minutes but I tried calling them anyway. Cancelled without penalty and rebooked for the previous day on Southwest.
