Airtran is back in Harrisburg. One nonstop flight a day down and back. We had purchased tickets out of Dulles for $58 one way. I just got off the phone with Airtran and they waived the $75 per ticket rebooking fee. We changed to Harrisburg flight for $104 one way. We are about 15 minutes from the Harrisburg airport vs 2 hours from Dulles. YEAH, no Wash DC traffic, small airport, no overnight stay in DC to pay for and no expensive aiport parking. They said they are getting lots of calls for bookings. Service starts Nov 20. So, if any fellow south central PA'ers are looking for reasonable rates give them a call. There flew out of Harrisburg about 10 years ago but left due to low bookings. I hope they stay around this time.

Saw this on the WGAL news tonight and got super excited. Hopefully, they'll increase the number of flights. We're flying AirTran out of PHL later this year and it doesn't work for us to switch but we'll definitely try to book out of MCO the next time.

I posted another thread about this very subject!

Do you think the price will go any lower? Our trip is in January and I want to get the best deal if we decide to fly.

We booked at $63. out of Philly and back for our December trip! Low rates are out there! Good luck!

That is great to hear, I had heard they were supposed to be coming back to HIA, just not in time for my Sept trip, but we did get great rates out of BWI, $58 each way. Thanks for the info!
