AirTran...Good & Bad please...

I booked our flights in May, and so far they've only changed slightly... I think the outbound departs like 15 minutes earlier, and the return is like 10 minutes earlier. With three weeks to go, here's to hoping there aren't any surprises.

As for quality, the planes are new, flights are timely (somehow Atlanta is big, yet doesn't have O'Hare's problems), and people are generally friendly. It's no frills flying, but that doesn't bother me.

Hey, check my ticker TOO! See you at Disney! Flying Airtran and I am looking forward to it. THe times have changed by quite a bit, but heck, they cost me under $100 round trip each after all invested in the Wendy's Promo... what a great way to try a new airline.....

We have flown a few times with Airtran. It is the only direct to MCO from ROC. Generally a good experience. Assigned seats, resonable service, low prices. The only flaw is their tendency to change or cancel flights and waiting until a couple weeks before to contact you when there are fewer options. This has never really affected us too much.... slight time change on the only direct was fine. Although our late evening arrival at WDW turned into an even later flight, and getting the last room at the Poly with the worst view. :guilty:

I'm so glad I read about the changing times here. We fly Airtran for the first time in 2 weeks. I just checked our flight, and sure enough, it has moved back an hour. Thanks for the warning. I'll keep checking to be sure there are no more surprises. Has anyone had a flight change just days before?

I'm nervous after reading about them not being strict about their assigned seats. Now I'll have nightmares about not getting seats together with my two kids, one who is autistic. Just one more thing to worry about!

My flights changed a few times many months out, but they have not moved in 2 months or so and we fly in 19 days. I don't expect them to move unless there is an emergency.

As to having people sit in other seats, I personally think it is rare. Things will be fine and don't loose any sleep over it.

Thanks...I'll try not to worry over it. I have enough on my mind, so I'll just be positive and know it will all work out!

I agree. If there happens to be someone in your seat it is probably someone that is confused, careless or just hoping that the seat would be empty. no worries.
