I have been checking flights from Buffalo to Orlando and Airtran seems to have the best rates.

Are there any valid Airtran discount codes?

Thanks

From all the experiences I've seen posted, regarding Airtran, I think it would take a huge discount code to get me to fly with them. A ton of people have posted about nightmare experiences with scheduling and Airtran.

AirTran sometimes offers coupons and specials. The best way to find them is to watch their websites and the posts on these boards.

We've flown AirTran exclusively for the past 8 years and have never had a problem with them. With all due respect to the previous poster, all airlines have nightmare stories. What is called a "nightmare story" is usually nothing more than a schedule change, equipment change or a change from a non-stop to a layover - all of which happen on every single airline. In our family, the biggest nightmare story occurred on Southwest. But many posters love them and have a different experience. I would suggest you check out posts by people who have actually flown the Buffalo-Orlando route and see what experiences they had for the most pertinent information.

I wholeheartedly agree. We've had consistent service on AirTran over the past 5 years and have had our share of issues with other airlines. I will happily book them again. Schedule changes can and do happen regardless of the airline, particularly right now when some are struggling to save money without completely disrupting service.

I do understand that every airline, each and every one, has their share of horror stories. But, to the best of my knowledge, Airtran has had a bit of trouble with the gas prices and trying to put together consistent schedules. I have no experience with them myself, just others who have posted here.
I fly Delta and beleive me, they change flights more often than my dh changes his socks!! I never count on being on a particular flight until we are off the ground.

I was one of the complainers when they pulled out of a smaller local airport and never notified me. Luckily, I knew about it and was still able to snag $224 rt tickets on Delta for President's week and get a full refund from AT.

Now, as I was getting ready to book tix for Easter week, all the fares were crazy, and we got a pretty decent price with AT. After much thought, since we will be flying from one of the major city airports, we decided to go ahead with them. One more chance for AirTran to come through for us.

Previously, they were our airline of choice. Never had a problem with them. Just hoping that the travel agent was right and we won't run into a problem with them in April.

We drive from Toronto to Buffalo and usually fly on AirTran to Orlando every 3 months. We're heading down in December as well with AirTran for $165 (taxes in) return each. As always, it depends on what day of the week you fly. So far this year, they've been the cheapest non-stop for us out of Buffalo. I will admit that I do prefer the customer service on Southwest the best though.
