I think I know the answer but we have never tried to transfer an AirTran credit. Is a $ credit from cancelling a flight transferable to someone else?

Hi, I just had to use up my AirTran credit from a cancelled flight. What AirTran told me was that it can be used for anyone on any route that AirTran flies but it must be booked by the person who paid for the original(cancelled) reservation.
So the original reservation was for me, DH, DDad and DMom (DDad put it on his card and DH and I gave him the money for our portion) and we had to cancel the trip and did not have one planned within the time frame to use the credit. So we tried to figure something out and DDad told DH and I to use it since he still isn't well enough to fly. So I found flights to visit family in Chicago and called to book, AirTran let me go through all the "details" and then I just had to put DDad on the phone so he could confirm his information since he originaly paid.
