Airtran Coke Rewards discount ?

Does anyone know if I can use the discount that coke rewards is offering for Airtran towards my checked luggage? It doesn't say anything and since I haven't redeemed for one I don't know if it's a coupon code like the other coupon codes or not.

When checking in online the only option to pay for checked baggage is to use a credit card. You can use them for seat selections before checkin.

Do you know how I would go about applying this coupon for baggage charges?

I've already paid for our seats, BUT if I change the seats to a more expensive seat and add the coupon then change the seat back to the original one will I have a credit to use? Using this $25 coupon for each person would pay for our baggage fees completely.

No, I don't. You could call the AirTran customer service number though to see if they will allow your request.

Before you get to the page where you input a credit card number, there is a page with a place to enter a discount code.

There hasn't been a definite answer to the original question.... can the $25 credit be used towards luggage? There has been some debate as to whether one can use a credit issued for a lower fares towards baggage fees....

Okay, I must not be looking in the right place because I'm not finding it. I'm looking in Rewards. I did a search for "Air Tran" and just "Air" and came up with nothing.

So, this must not be available here. Not sure why they'd exclude areas. We don't have AT here in Louisville but they do fly out of Lexington. We flew out of there last trip.

I tried to get a second reward but it declined the request. Message said only one $25 discount per person.

I just got a reply from Airtran on whether I can use this for baggage fees. They said it CANNOT be used to pay bag fees.
