Airtran and canceld flights

I have seen on these boards, that air tran cancels flights often. Are they canceling in advance, or are they canceling the day or a day before the actual flight? We want to book a late flight home on a Sunday for work monday AM.

I don't know so much that Airtran actually cancels flights, but, rather changes flight times frequently. I have also heard sometimes they tend to possibly combine flights and a flight that was supposed to be nonstop becomes a flight with a stop somewhere else.

I was told because our flight was changed already for this upcoming week, that Airtran will only change their flight schedule on Sunday. So if you are leaving check your flight on that Sunday before to make sure it is still a go, and you most likely will be fine. We were just changed to a little early departure to combine with another flight. I was a little ticked but there isn't much you can do. As always you most likely want to confirm your airline 24 hours before your trip. HTH!
