Hi all, I cannot find ANY email address anywhere for Airtours/MyTravel - can anyone help???

I'd like to contact them to clarify a few definate points for our Oct holiday, but someone out there may know.....

We're travelling Premiere Gold from Gatwick - and somewhere I've read you are situated at the front of the plane and there are about 49 seats there??? How are these made up - 2 / 3 / 2 and 7 rows of them rings a bell?

I know it's not as good as Virgin's Premium Economy (but over £150 cheaper) ie Virgin's seats are wider and more leg room - but I'd like to know measurements. Again in the Virgin books they state 35 inches leg room and tell you the size of the seats in comparison to the economy ones.

Should you order the children's meals before getting to the airport or can you trust them to have enough?

I think that's it for now - hope to hear from someone soon

Cheers

Julie

Hi Julie

Ok.... seat pitch for premium is 35 inches.... I would suggest you prebook the kids meals as they will only know to cater for them if you tell them.

Did you book thru a Travel Agent or direct with them?? There are different numbers for whichever option you took...let me know and I'll get the right number for you.

Seat configuration on the A330 is a 2 3 2 as you thought, these are plush leather seating, and are the best premium seats in my opinion for charters.... used airtours on a flight to Dom Rep and they made us lesser mortals troop thru premium just to see what we were misssing (or at least it felt that way!!!LOL)

If I can help more give me a shout

If you got an e-mail address or phone number can you let me know.

Also you talk about booking children's meals. Can you do that in economy class - I thught I'd heard that my travel didn't provide children's meals.

HELP?!?!?!?!

Hi Scottish Mouse,

If travelling with children then you should always ensure that Kids meals are prebooked no matter what class you are booked in otherwise they will be given the adult menu, which can sometimes lead to tantrums!!!

If you booked thru a travel agent then chances are they have already allocated these as one of the booking screens automatically puts in the no of adult meals and the no of kids meals required, we then check and either agree or override the system accordingly.

I think what you may have heard is when people have booked "Sundeals" late bookings then they all get classed as adults and cannot be advised of Kids requirements.

Again let me know which way you booked and I can advise of the right course of action for your case.

Take Care

Val

Thanks, for this. I think it's actually a sun deal. Long story but my Mum arranged all of this for us and I've only just now realised that its a Sun deal so even our luggage allowance is only 15 kg!!!

Nightmare!!!

I take it there is no way we can organise kids meals?!?

Thanks for your help....

Lynn

Hi Lynn

If your mum has opted to take the meals (I hope to goodness she said yes!!) then you will all be allocated adult meals... it may be worth mentioning at check in they may be able to sort something for you .... especially if it's Glasgow...take with you your confirmation from Airtours as sometimes the system forgets!! to put in your inflight meals.. This happened to my Dad on an airtours flight in May, however I called them when he was still checking in and they had rectified the matter because he could prove he had paid for the meals. There were several people in the same boat. Also if it is Glasgow remember to check in at St Andrew's Building not the main terminal.

Don't worry about this too much, at the end of the day it's a means to and end.... you're going to see the Mouse!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Thanks, Val.

We're flying from Manchester - my Mum has booked meals so we'll take the invoice as you suggest. I'll also try for the kids meals. But I'll take some lunchables (their current favourite) for them as well.

Thanks for your help......

Hi Val & Lynn

Thanks Val for number 0870 400 1200 got me through although they passed me onto Customer Services. Chap there was very helpful, although NOT that knowledgeable!

I booked our meals and especially kiddies ones - so Lynn maybe for the cost of the phone call, give them a buzz and act dumb and see if you can book the kiddies meals - worth a try!!

He wasn't sure on much else really - read me the page of the brochure which I had in front of me - but hey like you said above Val - we're off to see the mouse (minnie in my 4.5 yr daughter Millie's eyes and not the HE mouse!!).

Cheers again

I'm glad you got it sorted Ju, even if you did have to lead him by the hand!!!! LOL

When do you go? I bet Millie is so excited!! I remember taking Teri when she'd just turned 5 and I am eternally grateful to my husband who had to foresight to take her photograph just as she saw Cinderella's castle for the first time..(Well the first time she can remember the last time she had been she was 13 months old!!)... It was priceless, and looking at it brings a tear to my eye!!

They totally buy into the whole Disney experience and put a fantastic spin on it for us too!!!!

I hope you and Scottish Mouse have a great time, I want to go NOW!!!!!!

By the way I think Disney must know we're all getting a bit hyper again, they've started the "I'm too excited!!" ad campaign again....how many homes in the UK have these conversations every day?!? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
