The radio news says that Willie Walsh allowed 8 or so planes to take off from USA and Canada in the hope that it would force the UK to reopen the airports. A lot of the plane companies believed the total closure was an over reaction in the first place.
Perhaps they should keep that to themselves for now. So many people have incurred expenses, stress and inconvenience I think the last thing anyone wants to hear is that it was not necessary on this scale.
I just want everyone to get to where they need to be with no further hassle and disappointment.
