I was wondering when leaving Disney - how early do you leave Disney property? Doyou leave at 4:45 for a 7:45 flight.

If you are using DME then you really don't get a choice. Your bus will leave your resort about 3 hours before your flight.

If I have a car I still use this general timeframe. I figure if I leave 3 hours in advance, I'll have no problems even if there are long lines at security.

I always have a rental. Leave MK at 5pm for an 730 flight... 30 min ride to airport, 15 to get in... so far it worked 11 times

I use a car service also. I let them set the pick up time. This trip our return flight is at 6pm and they said they will pick us up at the resort at 3:45pm.
So 2 hours and 15 minutes before our flight.

I wouldn't leave less than 2 hours before the flight.

I was in a 45 minute line to get thru security at the end of April 2009. You can never tell how long the security lines will be and it's better to be safe than sorry.

You people must travel with an anxious type person? I am comfortable with the ME pick up time of 3 horus prior to a flight.

We travel out of a small airport and our flight leaves at 7:30 am. It takes almost exactly an hour to get to the airport from our house. I will compromise with dh and will leave at 5. He will want to leave at 5:30, I will want to leave at 4:15'ish .

I "know" that it won't take more than 15 minutes to check our bags and 15 minutes to get through security, so we will sit at the gate for 30-45 minutes before we start boarding. Lucky for me, dh gives in to my obsession of being early .

This sounds like my trip to the airport. I know the drive time is 1 hour 15 minutes. I aim to get to the airport about an hour and a half before flight time. This leaves time for traffic or accident on the highway, line at security. I end up waiting in the terminal at least an hour before the call for boarding.

Just don't get there so early that you fall asleep or start to wander around and miss your flight. That has happened to two people I know.

If I were taking a cab, I'd leave at 6:30 for a 7:45 flight. If I had to drop off a rental car, I'd probably leave at or shortly after 6:00.

And I'll almost always have arrived waaay early.

ME? Stuck at 3 hours

Rental Car? 2hrs, gives me 15 min to turn in car
