Our trip is coming up soon, and I must say the only part I'm NOT looking forward to (besides the end of the trip ;) ) is flying out of SeaTac. Getting through security was a nightmare last time...huge line, very slow-moving, but you had to get in it since everyone else was. After finally getting through, there was nothing to do on the other side while waiting for the plane.

LAX was a dream compared to SEA...maybe we were just there on a bad day. :confused3

Actually, SEA is not bad in the scheme of things. Compared to ATL or IAD it's a breeze!

LGA is not bad if you are only spending an hour there.... most airports are ok if you are connecting US flight to US flight, the main difference is distance between gates and food/shopping offerings.

Most times if you have a 45 minute connection that's a litttle tight to be worrying about food/shopping/entertainment anyways..........

I was going to say LGA. They always have a delay of some sort. And the runways that jet out into the water are a little creepy.

Definitely Atlanta........(shudders to think about it....) :sad2:

::yes::

SWA non-stop...can't beat it!

Atlanta!!! DH swears that is the only airport he gets motion sick from. Bad turbulance with the landing.

SFO - ever tried to get to your rental car there? feels like you are taking the train all the way into the city.

Another airport where you land over water, and with neighbouring runways. Definitely close your eyes on landing!

Mine is CVG (Cincinnati). I've never had a smooth transfer there!! Always have mechanical difficulties when I flying through there. Plus, flying from PWM to CVG, I always end up having to take a bus from one terminal to the other. I just don't like the idea of riding in a bus on the tarmack with planes coming and going. Unfortunately, my flights for June, the schedule was more important and I didn't even think about where the layover was until after I purchased them. Transfering in CVG both times! UGH! :guilty:

Cheers!

I fly alot for work. Atlanta gets my vote. It's so big and crowded. Unfortunately, I'm going there Monday...... :sad2:

 Waiting to claim and recheck your luggage as you clear customs in YYZ.

The flights to DCA at YYZ leaving from that back end of the terminal (with a warning sign that the walk to the gate is over a kilometre from security) - don't know if that has chagned, since I managed to fly over 100,000 miles in the last year while avoiding YYZ and collecting miles on Air Canada.

So.... to the OP - are you feeling better about SEA yet? Seriously, I fly out of there quite often, and it does rate right up there.

Yes, lines can be long, but that's the case at almost every airport. And yes, there may not be much in your gate area (except for the talking water fountains) but it's not worse than a lot of places. MCO rates right up there - I fly from the United gates at MCO and the food choices once you exit the monorail are horrid.

O'hare is the worst airport for connections EVER. I am not kidding when I say that I have had a problem there every single time I've flow through (at least 6 in the last 2 years). I avoid it at all costs.

MY personal worst is PHL...

*shudders*
Never had a flight that wasn't delayed or cancelled or luggage lost or at least SOMETHING..

Not to mention FILTHY! I think it's the pigpen of airports! :earseek:

PHL, O'Hare, MIA the old part with what look like 6.5 foot ceilings everywhere, was it built for midgets? Its very closed in feeling. And MCI with that very convienent glass wall separating you from the food places. And DEN is nice but whats with putting the car rental place 10 miles away? I mean its not like there is a shortage of space there?

Hands down Heathrow is my least favorite. Coming through customs/immigration is a nightmare!
Newark runs a real close second.
SEA and ATL seem to be improving.
