Airport transportation?

I am looking at staying onsite at Universal but don't want to purchase a vacation package as we aren't interested in doing the number of park days that go with a package. Is there any way I can add on Universal's shuttle service between the airport and the hotel if I am doing basically a room-only reservation and NOT a package with tickets? I can't seem to find an option for this.

Hmmm... There are only 2 of us. I have a flip-phone, DH has a Verizon phone but we have no idea of how to use things like Uber. What is Tony Hinds? Would these services also go to the Disney Springs hotels if we end up staying there? Our flight gets in at 10:15pm; is this too late for car services? I usually rent a car but between the exorbitant prices over the holidays and the stupid nightly parking fees, it's pretty cost-prohibitive!

RT for Supershuttle per person is $39. To Universal. For a couple that would be $80, still a good price. Last May I was traveling with adult daughter and we only needed one way, so I booked with Tony Hinds.
This trip it’s just me so I’m using the shuttle. I booked thru Universal but it’s not a package.

Tony Hinds has a car shuttle business. He comes highly recommended for his great service. Over on the universal resort forum you can find many reviews. He would take you to disney springs hotels too. We used his service to go from Mco to aventura at universal and then from aventura to yacht club. Planning to hire him again for our next universal trip. We've been using Tony Hinds' transportation since 2013 (after reading many good reports here). We've booked for our HHN trip this year too. He will need your arrival airport, fight airline, flight number, arrival time, as well as departure flight, flight airline, flight number, and flight departure. Also, provide a cell contact number, so he (or associate) can contact you when they arrive (I always have a voicemail that they are there once we land and I turn my phone back on). We always book for MCO to USO and back, but it is my understanding that he can transport anywhere in the area (I think I've seen trips book to Tampa and the coast as well as USO and WDW). When I book, I also mention that we'd like a stop at the grocery store to get some water and snacks. His email is aobh607@gmail.com. He will give you a price, and you can confirm or not. Really nice people, and I don't see us changing service. Of course an Uber/Lyft/or taxi might be cheaper, but knowing the exact cost roundtrip (wouldn't want a taxi stuck in traffic...) is great. They pick up in a van, so there's plenty of room for people and luggage. We travel with 3-4 people and a ton of bags. Like I said, it's not the only option, but we're very happy with cost and service.

I used SuperShuttle in May for 3 people RT between MCO and HRH. I paid $76 plus tip total. $38 each way for 3 people (before tip) I thought was a steal. Since we arrived in Orlando at 5:26 am we were the only ones in the shuttle to HRH. Everything was on time, I would do this again if I’m not renting a car.
