Need info/others' experiences on getting from LAX to Disneyland (Paradise Pier). When my husand & I were there last April, we used the Disneyland Resort Express. It worked OK for us but really weren't too impressed after using the Magical Express in Florida many times. This trip will be with our daughter and her family (kids 8, 3 & 11 mo.) and I'm just not sure we want to use the Resort Express so would like to hear suggestions.

From LAX I think your best and cheapest bet besides the Disneyland Express would be Super Shuttle.

I know your flying into LAX but to compare, when we fly into SNA we always take a Taxi as it is only $40 for everyone including tip one way. That takes you directly to the hotel with no stops. We have also used Super Shuttle from SNA and we have had a party of 5 people, but we had 2 other people join us in our shuttle and they got dropped off first, so your shuttle isnt' always direct. We have tried the Disneyland Express and that seems to do drop off's at the Resort Hotels first. We normally go budget friendly off site, and we have to wait quite awhile for our own drop off. Personally I hate the wait when I want to just "GET THERE".

NOW from LAX your taxi would run you way more then $40 so I don't recommend that. Disneyland Express would be ok, as Paradise Pier is one of the resort hotels and you probably wouldnt have to wait long for a drop off. If you took Super Shuttle from LAX, and we have had this experience several times from LAX, we didn't have to share shuttles. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the distance of drive, but from LAX we find that Super Shuttle is the best option.

If you arn't worried about money, then maybe a town car or limo? :confused3

One thing to keep in mind. On SS or any other shuttle, your daughter will have to bring car seats for her kids. On the DLRE no car seats needed. That might be a major deciding factor, lugging car seats through the airport is a real hassle! And she'll have to have one for the 3yo and 11mo.

Prime Time Shuttle doesn't require a child seat. They recommend it, but don't require it. Assume the same for S.S.

We're going with Zippy shuttle coz it's had great reviews, it's costing us $160 return for 5 of us. No waiting at the airport, apparently they are there waiting for you as you come out, and they only take one party, so you'll go straight to your hotel. We are using them to go to Universal too, again $160 return.

There aren't any services in which you can drop off your bags at your local airport and not see them until they appear in your room. After that, ME is just a bus as is the Disneyland Express. Maybe you could clarify what you're looking for.

I know Super Shuttle requires them in compliance with local laws. Or at least they did when we used them in SF. They will not transport you without one.

If primetime does, then they are acting illegally, as a chlid restraint is required by law for all children under 6/60 in california. Plus, regardless of laws and requirements, the laws of physics are constant.
