Airport transfers between Paris and Disney hotels?

I have decided to book a trip for myself, my husband and two kids (7 years and 18 months) for 4 nights departing 2 Janaury in Disneyland Paris. Would you believe that I have managed to get flights for all four of us for 99 pounds! This is Heathrow to CDG in Paris departing 8am returning at 4pm. Pretty good huh!!! Anyhow I plan to stay offsite I think and I am going to research accommodation over the next couple of days. Whereever we stay I will get a hotel within walking distance of an RER station as we will not have a car.

So my question is this: How do we get from the airport to our hotel. I would prefer to arrange a direct transfer as we will have a toddler and pushchair with us, but if it is cheaper I just need to get to an RER station so that we can make our own way from there. Does anyone know if their is any sort of shuttle bus going to Disney from CDG airport, or even from the airport to a central RER station? And what is the approximate cost if we decide to take a taxi? Can we arrange or book transfers from the UK at all?

Thanks for your help

Susan.

Susan,

There is an RER station at CDG airport so you will have no worries there. We went earlier this year & got a taxi from CDG to central Paris & it cost about £30-£35.
We used the metro & RER to get around Paris, it was fantastic & really easy. If I remember rightly we had to buy a 5zone pass, this allowed us to go on the RER to DLP & travel around the metro as often as we liked for our chosen period, we went back to the airport on the RER too.
Whether you find getting up & down the steps in the metro & RER stations easy with a pushchair & cases (to & from the airport) is another matter!

There is a shuttle bus which goes from CDG to the Disney hotels. I've not used it myself, but others have (including Bev I think) so try the search facility to see what has been written about it before. Have you thought about renting a car at CDG for four days? This will give you a wider range of hotels as you won't be restricted to one near an RER station.

Rob

if you are just going to be at DLP then I would look at one of the onsite hotels if you can. I didn't think they were that much more expensive than off-site whe I looked into it, and you can walk to the parks- a big bonus if you have a pushchair with you. I wasn't that keen on the look of the Santa Fe, but the Cheyenne was very nice. MyTravel have a new hotel too, called the Explorer I think - it's a bit like the Swan, it's not quite a disney hotel but closer than a normal offsite hotel, with shuttle buses to the parks etc. I'm not sure whether it's open yet or not.

i used the shuttle bus from the airport to dlp - it was easy, and relatively convienent but it was very slow.
My understanding is that you can get the RER from the airport, but it is from terminal 2, so you would have to get yourself across the airport which is probably not all that convenient either.

The RER stops at the two main terminals at CDG, there are terms 1, 2 & 9! god knows why it is 9!. They provide a free shuttle service to move you from the station to a terminal anyway.
