We are in the preliminary stages of planning our first trip to DL next summer. As I search for flights, they give me many options for airports (LAX, etc.). So, which airport do I want to fly into from the East Coast to arrive at Disneyland?

I prefer to fly into SNA (John Wayne) its closer to Disneyland. You can get from SNA to Disneyland in about 15 minutes where from LAX your travel time is about 35-45 minutes. But if your not worried about time, and you can get better deals if you fly into LA, then I would suggest going that route.

Everyone will have their preferences, being from the East coast also, we flew into LAX last year with out any problems. We are flying into LAX again this year. For us the flights were cheaper, were direct and really didn't give us options for the other airports, or else one was into LAX and out of another airport. Not into doing all of that. Good luck with your decision.

I prefer flying in Long Beach over LAX I have not flown into SNA ~ I fly Jet Blue into Long Beach, small airport ~ close to DLR ~ maybe 20 min. drive.

Ontario is another option that is closer than LAX. It is getting more and more flights.

Have flown in and out of both LAX and Santa Ana. My personal preference, Santa Ana. It is a much smaller airport and it was just easier for everyone. The security line was basically non-existent. (Soooooo easy!) We fly out of Denver so we appreciate small lines!

1st choice SNA
2nd choice LGB
3rd choice LAX (too big and farther)

From Seattle LGB is cheapest. It is really small, but I like it that way. By the way, a taxi that seated a family of 6 (van) was only a flat rate of $40 and the driver stopped at the grocery for me without charging extra. I did give him a large tip since I felt bad.

SNA is the closest to the Airport.

LAX makes you go through the 405 freeway :scared: That is very scary traffic!

What's the best transportation from Long Beach airport to Disneyland? A taxi? Are there any shuttles? Any idea on prices?

Thanks!

Not sure where on the east cost you are from-Maybe West VA?? Look into skybus from Greensboro or Columbus to Burbank. My tickets for this summer were $260 per person, nonstop. I have flown them before and they werre more than adequate. To see what is available, go to www.Skybus.com

Yes, I'm from West Virginia. We primarily fly out of Pittsburgh (about 1 hour away), but we would certainly drive the 3.5 hours to Columbus to get a better deal on a flight. Thank you VERY much for the advice on Skybus!
