I refuse to let anyone or anything destroy or limit how I live my life. Not only does this have psychological repercussions, I believe it also helps those who seek to change our way of life. I will not yield and give them the victory. You either believe your fate is already chosen, you accept fate as it happens and move on the best way you can or you give up and allow your fate to be determined by someone else. As for me...I'll be on a plane with my family headed as scheduled for Disney in November. I've increased my 401K and recently invested in more stock. Everything that makes us America needs our support. From those who have suffered tragedy to our economy, our military and our country. Retreat or persue. My basic philospy is, I don't worry about things I can't control and I strive to improve the things that I can.
As a country we have become complacent. The time to change is now. We control our destiny. Each one of us is responsible for the outcome. We are to blame for our shortcomings.
Anyway, having gotten that off my chest...what is the wait times when checking in at the airports.

I have no personal expireance, but My fiancee' Called United for our flight back to chicago in Oct. They told her to be there at LEAST 2hours before departure as opposed to the previous 30 minutes before.

Flying down form Hartford,Ct to Orlando and back I can honestly say there was no problem for us. We arived an hour and a half to Hartford and there was no line at check in, there was a lot of tension in the air which is understandable being our first flight since the attack. Coming back through Orlando ther where three check points for security and alot of bag searching. Wer araived two hours before departure and our counter moved very quickly. We flew Southwest and they had alot of employees at the check in counter. The flight home seemed more relaxed and everyone seemed in good spirits. By the way our plane was filled to capasity. Now the FAA is alowing curb side check in again so it should go smoother but I honestly think we should do away with it.

Just FYI Portland International Airport (PDX) Has announced that the FAA has allowed them to reinstae Curbside Check-in.

I Don't know about other Airports. I'll have to inquire as to O'hare.

... has reinstituted curbside check-in as well. San Jose is expected to follow soon. Oakland may or may not - they took quite a bit longer than either SFO or SJC to adapt to the new terminal security rules, so it may take them time to adapt to the new curbside rules, too.
