We will be arriving a day early for 12 july cruise and staying at the airport Hyatt. I am guessing I will have to get our luggage to the hotel. On the 12 th will I have carry the luggage back into the airport for DCL.

Hi DHWD. We'll be staying at the airport Hyatt the night before the July 12th cruise too! My DD wants to know if you have any kids traveling with you.

I reserved the Hyatt separately through Hotwire and added on the transfers from the airport to the port. DCL told me to let the Hyatt know when we check in that we are DCL cruisers and they will give us a letter letting us know how to handle our luggage. My understanding is that we check in for the transfers right in the lobby of the Hyatt in the morning and they will take the luggage from there. But you will need to get your luggage to the hotel the night before.

First thank you for info, it will help me "DH" alot. I will be traveling with DW, DD, & DSL (sister in law). My DD will be celabrating her 16 th birthday on 12 july. Another family will arriving on the ship on 12 july. The other family has a DD 15. We will be arriving at MCO at @ 1130 hrs. Maybe will see your family and you.

When you check in, they will give you an envelope with information about the transfers and your luggage. Usually, you will put the cruise line tags on your bags on the morning of the cruise and leave them in the hallway outside your door at the Hyatt. The bell staff will collect them and transfer them to DCL, who will deliver them to the ship. Bus check-in is right in the lobby of the Hyatt, usually around 9:00-9:30.

I'm told, but have never tried, that if you give the bell staff your airline baggage receipts, that they will go and get your bags from the baggage claim. Again, I've never tried this and am kind of dubious about this. I didn't think it was terribly far from the baggage claim to the Hyatt. If you have wheeled luggage, it shouldn't be a problem. They Hyatt is actually in the airport terminal.

Lloyd Dobler, thank you for your information also. It will be very helpful. Also knowing about when the DCL bus leaves also gives me(DH) a chance to get my much needed morning coffe.
