We have a 6:00am flight home. We are doing 7 nights at WL but didn't want to pay another $240 when we have to be out of the room at 3:00am.

We would like to stay at a hotel near the airport. We would prefer something fairly inexpensive but want to make sure that the hotel is quiet enough and has comfortable enough beds that we will get some sleep.

Any recommendations? We aren't tied into a particular chain.

ETA: We will have a rental car so transportation is not an issue.

I have been very impressed with SpringHill Suites. That is my new hotel of choice when I go down there. I usually have the same issue you have...early flight after my time at Disney has ended. SpringHill has a shuttle that is shared with a couple of other hotels, but if you have a rental car, it won't be an issue.

I've been in the habit of dropping the rental the night before and then using the hotel shuttle to get to the airport.

If you're departing from Orlando International there is a Holiday Inn Express on McCoy Road that has excellent rates and free breakfast and is just 2-3 miles from the terminal.

If you're departing from Sanford International there is a Holiday Inn Express in Sanford (on US 17/92) that has excellent rates and free breakfast and is about 3 miles to the terminal.

Go to www.holidayinnexpress.com for rates and reservations.

If you're leaving the room at 3am there won't be any breakfast. :(

Thanks for the suggestions! Dropping the car the night before is definitely an option. Although, knowing us, we'll just get up a bit earlier to drop it off when we get there.

Thanks for info about the breakfast, but I won't want to eat at 3:00am anyway. :goodvibes

Thanks again!

There is a Hyatt right inside MCO terminal. It's ultra convenient esp for very late arrivals or early departures. Just a 50 yd. walk from the hotel to security. It's not cheap but a lot less than WL!
If you have AAA you can get a discount.

Also Hyatt's website offers a thing called "Stay Certificates" where you basically pre pay your stay by buying a cert and then book your date and nothing to pay when there, just hand in the cert. Be sure your date is available for a stay cert before buying. While you can change the date of use of a cert, it's not refundable and does expire. There are different levels of stay certs so Hyatt MCO uses a Choice cert. This is $141 after shipping. Signature required by FedEx so I had it sent to my work.

It usually runs around $179-220/nt. so the cert. is a good deal. AAA rate is around $150. Of course this varies with dates/season/midweek vs. weekend, etc. ymmv.:goodvibes

Also it has a heated pool on the roof; my kids love to watch the planes take off and land while they're swimming. You must have a room key to operate the elevator so you won't see lots of wandering travelers from the airport in the hotel hallways. :thumbsup2

Once you try it, you'll love its location and won't want to deal with off site hotels/shuttles again. :cloud9:
