We knew it was coming as DL increased their prices recently, a 5 day park hopper has increased by about 400 miles now. I was about 100 miles away from getting our third (of 4) for our upcoming trip, now I am 500 miles away! Still doable I think but I was hoping to get one more at the old rates.

Thanks for the heads up! That means I'll be short too and likely have to buy one, unless I can shop like crazy over the next couple of months.

My friend must have had a sixth sense about it - she ordered her Disneyland ticket a week before they went up. I was working towards saving for an adult one as I had redeemed for my son's ticket but when I saw the increased price, I decided to redeem for our Universal tickets so I just have to buy my Disneyland parkhopper. I sure am glad that Airmiles lets you redeem for park tickets - it definitely makes the vacation more affordable.:dance3: Getting the child Disneyland ticket and adult & child Universal ticket from Airmiles saves us about $400 in park costs.:cheer2:

I agree, I love being able to get park tickets with Airmiles. I got one adult and one child back in May before the increase and was saving up for a third when the amount increased. I will still be able to get miles enough in time for the 3rd one and then I will just have to buy the 4th. It is saving us over $750 for the 3 5-day parkhoppers we are using the airmiles for.

I'm thinking of booking my Universal tickets with Aeroplan points. They have an Adult unlimited 3 parks pass for 19000 points and I have enough to cover our tickets, this will save me over $500 = more pocket money to Shop...

They also dropped the 7 day park hoppers sometime in June. We lucked out and grabbed ours just a few days before they disappeared :D

We got 4 sets of 7 day hoppers before they disappeared too. It's a huge saving for our trip last week

We are about to plan our next year trip. Hope Disney would bring back the 7 day hoppers, or at least officially letting us upgrade from 5 day hoppers.
