HI, does anybody know if the airmiles Disney parkhoppers have to be used by the person who gets them? What I want to know is if my Dad gets them on his airmiles will my familly be able to redeem them if he is not there? I know for the other Disney things I order, like the dessert package for F! I have to show the credit card that paid with my name on it.

Any info would be appreciated

From Airmiles your dad will receive tickets without any names designated on them so anyone can use them. However, there is a spot on the back which states "Please sign here for identification Purposes". The tickets do note whether they are for Ages 3-10 or 10+

I have redeemed my Airmiles for tickets in the past and I am about to do it again. They send you regular paper tickets. They can be used by anyone. Just like with any ticket you get from WDW after the first use they are then tied to the person who entered the park with that particular ticket. Your Dad does not need to be present for you to use the tickets.

Last year my inlaws used their AM to get us a ticket. There is an option when ordering online where you can send it to someone as a 'gift' so that's what they did. We got it in the mail with a letter that basically said "Mr. X redeemed his points to give you this gift".

As pp's mentioned, the tickets are blank on the back, so until you sign them, anyone can use them.

Thank you for all your replies, we are actually doing a Vegas/Disneyland trip next year and this will save alot of money, enough for a Cirque show for the family:cool1:

Thanks again.

Not to hijack your thread, but has anyone used Airmiles to get the basic 3 day ticket and upgraded it at the park to include PH and more days? I've got enough for a couple, but the All-Inclusive is a lot of miles!

Yes...done it with no problems. All you need to do is enter a park first before you try to upgrade. That automatically sets the ticket back to the gate price. Not a discounted rate that AM might have paid for the ticket.

We do it all the time and, like the PP, we have never had any trouble. The problem with the Air Miles All Inclusive Tickets is that they include Park Hopper, Water Park Fun and More and No Expiration. We've never needed No Expiration, so we wouldn't waste the AM on something we didn't need. So, we get the base ticket and add days and PH as needed.

You should consider getting the all inclusive ticket and upgrading to a 10 day. That's what I'm doing this year. It works out cheaper and I'll have tickets for my next trip as well. We do want the WP option so that could make the difference for you. Plus, when you think about how long it takes to save the AM it makes sense to me to maximize the tickets.

That's a good point. No expiration is a really good deal if you also have the water park fun and more as well (which you would in an All Inclusive), because the WPFM entries don't expire either, even once the Park days are done. The WPFM could last 3,4 or 5 trips (or more), depending on how much you use it.

All good information, thanks very much! How long did it take for you to get the tickets? Some things I've ordered from Air Miles have taken over a month to get to me. It's less than a month till we go.

I may also look at an annual pass upgrade because we seem to be there every 4-6 months anyway.

The last time I ordered from them it only took about 5 days. I don't know if that is normal though because I had asked about paying for the expedited service as I had to have the tickets in hand in 15 days. The person I spoke with said not to bother with paying the extra fee, that I would have them on time. So I was a little worried but totally surprised when the envelope was in the mail 5 days later. It came in an express post envelope.

You can have your order couriered to you for a fee of $35....it might have gone up since then.

the 5 day basic Air Miles ticket is 2175 air miles for an adult - the 3 day is 2230. The most economical if you don't want the no expiration or park hopper is the 5 day and pay about $5.00 a day to lengthen your days.
