I thought the Body Shop had gone under in Canada. That was one of the stores I worked at during my university years. Fond memories of their products.

Glad to see they are hanging in there.

FYI, the back to school bonus miles for AMshops posted at each interval of earned points, AS you earned the minimum 1 point from the online shop. BUT it's really hard to tell on my app versus the website. Reminder: Earn up to 250 points for shopping at 3 retailers (50 for 1, 125 for 2 or 250 for 3).

Examples:
I shopped online at Amazon on Aug. 7th, Walmart on Aug. 14th and both Well and Petsmart on Aug. 31st.

On my app I see 3 different descriptions of "Not available" +50 on Aug. 7th, +75 on Aug. 14th and then +125 on Aug. 31.
On the website, it's a bit more clear, but also not!
Aug. 7th description: 250 bonus miles +50
Aug. 14th description: 250 bonus miles +75
Aug. 31st description: Back to School +125 (very clear)

While there's some ways it's not as clear, if they move to giving you each portion of bonus points AS you earn them during a multi-level earn, I think I'd like that better, as it might help keep track?

For anyone looking at purchasing Disney tickets in the near future. I just used a (to me) new group to purchase discounted tickets through. Unlocked Magic. They used to be a subscription service but they are available to all now. I was able to save a bunch on the tickets I got. I ordered them Tuesday and received the confirmation #'s to add to my Disney account today. So far so good 🤞.

I will report back after my trip to confirm all was seamless if others are interested.

Hey all! Sad day today, the cruise is over and we are sitting at the airport. We had a great time. I will say I’m still on the fence about if I really love cruising or not. I did love the smaller ship and the crew were outstanding. This is the first time that I experienced the level of service that everyone talks about.

Will give you a bit of a trip report after I get home.

Must admit I am quickly becoming a cruising convert. But only for locations in the world that it would be difficult for us to see another way. I love having one place to stay and yet see lots of different locations. It's nice to be able to come back to the ship and eat familiar food (keeps my digestive system happy).

So far we've done Alaska, the Maritimes (could have done that one by car). Next year we're doing the west coast of Norway up to Nord Cap and later in the year the Panama Canal and the west coast of South America as far a Santiago Chile. 2027 I'm thinking the second half of the South America cruise (Santiago - Buenos Aires) or maybe the Scandinavian capitals.

I like the convenience of cruising, especially when it comes to food (for my picky son), he can have what he wants and I don't have to buy another meal if it wasn't what he thought. I also like being able to see places I'd never spend a week in, Even places in the Caribbean like St Thomas, it would be expensive to stay there for a week, but a day visit from the cruise ship? Perfect. I would like to go to the Mediterranean as well, I am not sure about any of the cold places though, I get enough cold at home :D

@hdrolfe how did you like the ASSports? We're staying there in early December. I like a place at Disney to just shower and sleep. Most of the rest of the time we are in the parks. We were going to stay at Movies but when the discounts came out Sports was cheaper it was the one most recently renovated so I went with that.

we liked sports, I'd stay there again especially given the cost. We were in the touchdown area, and it wasn't far from the dining or buses. No issues with transportation. I liked the food court well enough, it opens at 630 so you can grab something before the parks if you want. Rooms are the same as Movies or POP. You can walk to the McD if you want it's right nearby, but we never did, just always knew we were almost "home" when we went past it. Mind you, we were there with no cheer groups or anything, but we were there for 10 days that trip I think. No issues.

We love cruising-and preferably 3+ weeks at a time! The convenience of one pack/unpack is very appealing. Because of cruising we've seen places that I had dreamed of as a kid. And getting out of our Canadian winters has been wonderful!

We were late to cruising because I really didn’t know if we would like it. Turns out we love it. I was looking at the Panama Canal sailing next year however I’m unfamiliar with the airports so I think I would find that a little stressful. If it weren’t for that, we’d be on it and we still might. That’s if I can get past figuring out the airport situation. Only time will tell.

ETA— welcome home dancing Disney style. Glad you had a good trip.

Holland America, Fort Lauderdale to Santiago. There is a direct flight with Air Canada to Toronto from Santiago starting this fall. I was speaking with my doctor the other day and she has been to Santiago many times, they speak English and the city is safe.
