Airmiles Armchair Chatter

I couldn't get back to sleep last night and when I saw Cari's post I went shopping.
Thanks Cari

So Cocoa has a new bag of dry cat food,,, paper supplies for the Fall ,,,and I got a new Hoodie.
I agree with Jacqueline ,,, having to only get 1 Airmile from each shop was great.

Thanks for posting about this offer, I never would have seen it otherwise. I will think about getting some things from Well.ca instead of going to the store. Petsmart and Amazon will round out one card. I'll think further about doing the offer on another card as well. Maybe later in the month.

I didn't forget to respond to you @ilovetotravel1977 , I saw that the correct answer was provided.
Find item you want and add it to your wish list.
Go to wish list, select the item and then you'll be able to see what category it falls under. The long line of wording is what can get you caught though if you're not very careful
BOTH pillow covers & coffee mugs under Home & Kitchen which was included last month HOWEVER, it was only "Kitchen and Dining" that was actually included.

Unless there is a big promo directly connected to Amazon I tend to see if I can find the same item from a different store, especially if I can save money! For your under sink type thing, try looking at Staples because they carry the most diverse list of things!

So, question about the AMs receipt postings. Has anyone claimed all the offers for an item? My example is I have claimed 7/8 eggs. What happens when I get to 8? Does it start over? Is that the end of that product?
Anybody know?

Tink
Once you hit 8/8 a green flag will cover the product picture and you will not be able to claim anymore.
The words claimed with a check mark will be on the flag.
That's the end of the product until next round of dates ,,sometimes things will get going around again like watermelon, eggs, Nutella stuff.
Hope that helps.

So does anyone know when Pharmasave will be up and running here in Ontario?
I'd ask Chat but it never works for me anymore.

It posts/lists for me in Ontario ,,, I did a $20.00 shop there last month but nothing has posted.

Question for all of you who have combined onto gift cards.

Is there a limit as to how much you can have on one gift card? I'm in the process of combining all my gift cards to purchase our park tickets.

I remember when I was using the website the last time to purchase our park tickets - that I could only use one gift card for the purchase. I am just trying to save a few bucks using gc instead of the cc.

If there is a limit - then I'll split my purchase in half....and make 2 purchases.

The limit is $1000 CAD on Canadian giftcards, but I learned from this group to leave a little room to account for currency fluctuations.

When I bought our annual passes there was no limit to how many giftcards could be used. I think I used 5 or 6?

I've been a bit curious about this as well. I know the limit is $1000 Cnd BUT when I was purchasing them with my AMs from Metro and from the Dollarama for AMs I was stacking them all on the same card. When it got close to the $1000 I mwould make a payment to DCL and then start over using the same card. If something were to happen say the cruise got canceled, then there would be about $2500 that would technically be from the one card. I wonder what would happen in that case.

I wouldn't restack the same card as it can only hold $1000. I would use a separate card once the max has been reached.

Also KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL CARDS! I think refunds need to go back on the card used. I just used a label maker and put "Hotel", "Tickets" etc on each one.

i can underline, highlight and emphatically agree with don't fill the gift cards up to the maximum $1,000 and do not use more than one for making a reservation over the phone. If you need to cancel, change or otherwise fiddle around with things the funds will go back onto the original form of payment and that can get very messy - coming from the voice of experience here 😉

keep all of the gift cards you use handy until your trip is completed. If you return items and no longer have the gift card handy they will only issue a merchandise voucher that's only good on- site - coming from our grandchildren who changed their minds after tossing gift cards into the trash.

keep a blank one with you on your trip in case you lose the ones that still have money on them. If you've added them to your gift card list you can transfer the balance to another CANADIAN gift card, not a USD one - also voice of experience 😖

Well it's 12 am and the basket of food that you can get Airmiles on has suffered shrinkflation ,,,almost every item is 0/4 available ,, one chocolate bar is still 0/8.

I'm happy Corn on the cob and Humus is listed.
Pancake mix is also listed and a Scene+ item,, double dipping.

Night all

i think that's the only way that airmiles could possibly slow down the runaway success of parking lot receipt retrieval. I didn't look closely at the miles per offer but if you can only claim each offer 4 times that's half as many miles. I'm expecting to see terms that align with limits stores put on sale items "regular household use" type thing. Heck, the PC offers only let you use them once.

Too many people now know about reciept hunting....Just back from shopping,,,not one extra in any carts.
There used to be so many receipts lying around the self checkout at my Walmart, but now the employee checks the area, removes receipts etc before letting the next customer through. Nothing left in carts at superstore either 😏
