Does anyone have an Airline they like or hate? We've always flown Southwest, which we really really like. But the rates this sept are really outragiously HIGH. I did an expedia check, and found an AirTran for $200, which is really pretty decent.

What does everyone think of AirTran?

I love Airtran. I fly AirTran or Allegiant to Orlando all the time. I'd pick either over Delta or USAirways every.single.time.

We LOVE Virgin Atlantic! (doesn't fly much here in the states).

We almost always use Alaska Airlines and we have had good service with that. We used American Airlines once and will never again. Other than that pretty neutral. We have a family friend who works for Delta so we don't mind it.

Do not like Airtran or USAir, will only fly them if necessary.

We are a SW family if we can swing it.

Never had an issue w/Delta or SWA. The only issue w/Air Tran is they are good as a point-to-point airline (they serve Baltimore and Orlando from our airport), but trying to travel beyond those destinations is a nightmare from a reservations standpoint.

We always fly either SW or Airtran to Orlando. Have never had any problems on either. We are flying Airtran this September due to the huge price difference between the two airlines. We actually bought our tickets through Disney as were able to get direct flights each way, and was under 200 per person total cost. Hope you have a great trip!

For me, it's JetBlue. If they don't fly there...I don't need to go.

I've flown Airtran quite a bit, and have never had a problem with them.

As a pp said, Airtran was purchased by Southwest.

Thanks everyone. I knew AirTran was bought by SW, but at this point, and maybe into the fall, I doubt they'd have much chance to do much of a SW overhaul. It's usually business as usual for awhile. I did a review lookup of Airtran and it wasn't good. That's what made me ask. I knew all the Disney experts here would know!!

It's been years since I've flown Delta, and my last experience with USAir was pretty bad. That's when I went SW. But, it's only a 2 hour flight (from Baltimore). So it wouldn't be a big deal. So now I feel better about trying AirTran. Thanks for everyone's response.

I used to like Northwest but Delta has bought them out. Delta was ok when we flew with them last summer.

Virgin Atlantic rule! The planes are modern and the crew polite and helpful. I mentioned I was a nervous flyer and they bumped me to the front of the cabin, gave me 4 seats to myself, kept me supplied with cookies and ice cream, checked on me every 30 minutes... couldn't have been more helpful!

On the flip side, I'm less than impressed with British Airways. I had a huge seizure the last time I flew with them and what did the cabin crew do? Hid at the back of the plane. Delightful.

I fly frequently on business and usually use Delta. They have individual TV's on many of their planes, I like that on long distance trips. Service is usually good, they still offer free peanuts, pretzels or cookies.

I fly based strictly on price. Not a fan of Southwest, funny they now have assigned boarding slots, I don't know why they just don't go with assigned seats.
Also had a family emergency and just booked Southwest at the last minute, their air fare was twice what America West's was.

I have flown so many that I have lost count. I really like southwest the best. We are flying airtran in August due to the price difference. Would have loved to do Jet Blue but cost was crazy. I refused to pay it. I am driving almost 3 hours to the nearest airport for Airtran but even with the cost and times it was the best route to go. I have flown Airtran before they were fine. Nothing to complain about really.
