I'm looking for carriers with direct flights to MCO from PHL that do not list with the big travel web sites such as Orbitz, HotWire SideStep and the like. I suspect I'm missing out by not going to some airline web sites instead of limiting myself the mega-search engines.

Thanks,
Bill From PA

Southwest flies that route and is not in most, if any, of the big web sites. Airtran also, but I think they are on the web sites (at least Orbitz).

I live in Jersey and can do either A.C. airport or Phl. Is it too far for you to get to A.C. airport in Jersey? Spirit airlines has direct flights from there and the prices are reasonable.

I think the only airline out of PHL that doesn't come up on any of the big websites is Southwest. I believe USA3000 comes up on Orbitz now.

As far as I know there are only 3 major airlines that have direct routes from PHL to MCO. They are USair, Southwest, and Airtran. All the other airlines have a stop in Atlanta or go west before going south.
The only one that does not show up on the search engines is Southwest.

I found United non-stop flights.
Actually they are US Airways flights. United and US Airways ahve a code share agreement, and all non-stop flights from PHO to MCO on United are operated by US Airways.

Does that mean I have to worry about disgruntled USAir employees putting holes in my United plane?

You won't be on a United plane, and there won't be a United employee in sight. If you've booked a non-stop flight from PHO to MCO, you'll be on a US Airways plane, with US Airways employees. You'll even check-in at the US Airways desk, not a United employee to be found.

Have you considered flying out of Allentown. Lehigh Valley now has a new airline to replace Southeast. I know you can find the information on LVI's website. I believe they cheapest flight was $79 one way. I would much prefer to fly LVI than PHL.

Thanks, all!

I've added a few sites to my Disney folder thanks to the advice here.

jez4100, I flew out of ABE when USAir had a 6 am flight and that was great, but it is no more. TransMeridian starts directs in Feb. but only 3 -4 days a week and late morning at that. I want to hit MCO 9:30 am or sooner, get my car and go right to the parks.

Rhonda922, AC is a bit far, especially for the drive home. I can be at PHL by 7:30 pm on a Wed. without burning a vacation day, get some sleep and be in The World the next day before my work mates have their second cup of coffee.

I used USAir the first week this Jan. and if their labor woes are behind them I'll consider them along with SW and AirTran. With rates below $200RT, a reasonable hotel with park&fly the price would be a wash compared with flying out of AVP, right down the road from me, and we'd capture the first day.

We flew SWA out of PHL last year and it was great. I think they offer more flights per day than Spirit out of AC.

You can check out Southwest's schedule for PHL to MCO flights on their website.
