Please move this if this is in the wrong place.

Do you have to take out portable DVD players while going through security and place them in their own bin?? I know you have to do it with a laptop. I just bought the DVD player and leaving for disney soon so I wanted to know.

We've traveled with one for approximately 3 years and I don't recall ever having to take it out going through security. We went through MCO twice in 2004 with one they didn't ask us to take it out.

We have taken 2 many times and we've never been asked to remove them from their cases. It's a wonder they can tell what it is with a couple of headphones and chargers in the bags.
It's the best $ we've ever spent. It keeps the kids quiet and gives us something to pass the time. popcorn:: Just know that you can use them at the gate while waiting but once on the plane it has to be completely turned off until the plane reaches 10,000 ft. They will announce when you can turn electronics on.
Have a great trip! :thumbsup2

We just came back last week. DD had one & I had one. No problems at all thru security. Please note that most gates have electric plug outlets. We were able to plug in and charge, while watching (not to run the battery low) I bought extention cord with us, so I could plug in DD's & mine at the same time.

I was also, bought my GPS, & that was a life saver thru out our trip, as well :thumbsup2

Have a great time

Patricia
