Just got word from US Airlines that tickets for 4 pple round trip from Phila to Orlando is $666.00. I haven't flown in a coon's age and really have no idea if this is good or not? We don't go till March so I have time......

Phila. seems to be the cheapest in the area. I checked out prices for Newark, Allentown, and NYC also. The cheapest non-stop flight I found were 186.00. We are also going in March but have not booked our flights yet. We are hoping something better comes out of Newark because that is more convenient for us.

166.50 per person sounds good to me. I'm lucky to find a ticket under 225.00 out of Knoxville.

That is a great price jump on it. I waited two days and my price for four went to $706 sstill good but $666 is better.

I went to the Airlines web site directly. They were cheaper then Expedia or Travelocity

I think anything under $200 is good, sometimes we pay $200-$300, depending on the season (Christmas/New Years, for example, can run over $300 even booking 7-10 months in advance, and the fares only go UP). :)

mom20f2,

That is a very good rate, especially if it is non-stop/direct. If it were me, and my dates were set, then I would book it now! Good luck! :):D:)

Well I missed out on the $666.00 from US Airways. I was waiting to get my rooms booked and when I did and went back to airline web site the price had gone up to 186.50 pp or a total of $746.00. It's only $80.00 but still!!!! I did start a fare watcher and will be watching that closely. I missed the price by 1 day! :(

mom2of2...did you check AirTran? I got good airfare, out of Philly flying non-stop, with them. The same flights (well, give or take a half hour) was over $700 EACH, with USAIR...I paid $353 for BOTH! It's worth checking. Good luck!:D

I booked our flights out of balt/wash to orl. for $98 rt earlier in summer. The interesting thing was that for 4 of us, I thought total should have been a little over $400, maybe $425-$450 to allow for taxes, etc. Our total ended up being $580!!! Still this is a good price as it averages out to $145 each but not quite what we expected based on advertised $98 fares. A friend just flew on Air tran to orlando last week, said planes seemed new, people were nice -- good experience.

agreed. Also there is additional fee per segment, since we are flying thru Atlanta, adds up to 4 segments/fees. I guess it all adds up! Much like comparing DW ticket prices, you need to make sure you are not comparing "apples and oranges" when looking at airfares.

One thing I've learned about the sales is that they only last about 36 hrs.....put a hold if you can .....if you can't anything around $150 from Phl you should purchase......
