I'm having a Zippity Do Da kindof day!!!! Just got my credit card statement and right there in black and white was my credit of $381.00!!!! My original tickets were $156.50 ea. when I booked back in April for our trip in August. I kept checking Southwest's website and saw it drop to $102, then it dropped again to $93.00!! Each time it dropped, I called and they said they would give me the credit. That's a lot of cash!!! I wasnt sure if it would be a credit for future travel, or a credit for the credit card since I had gotten a couple different answers from their reps. Sure enough, I got the credit to my credit card.

Now I'm going to go sign up for Connections and order all our park hoppers.

Just goes to show, keep trying for a better deal, you never know when they'll pop up!!!.

That was great. One question, did you book on line?

I too kept checking and got a lower fare but they would only give me credit vouchers. I was originally told that I would be credited. I guess my version of "credited" was a little different than their's. I am flying from Pitt. to Orlando with US Air. I specifically aksed for a credit on my credit card and she said they were non-refundable tickets so I could only get a credit voucher. If anyone knows how I could get credit...please let me know. I paid for 6 tickets so a credit would help do more at WDW than I normally could.

SWA is the only airline that I know of that will actually credit your charge card.
Delta used to, but, no longer.
I think you are stuck with USAir's voucher.

In your post you mentioned "Connections" to purchase your
park hoppers. Can you explain and do you have a link?

kimmar067 - I read about Connections from posts on this post. Do a search for "Connections" and you'll find a lot of info about it. I just joined on Friday and will call to order my tickets. They're a little cheaper than the Disney Club prices only they have a 4 day hopper plus whereas through Disney it's just a straight 4 day hopper, no plus feature. I think you can go to www.Connections123.com, but I'm not sure. You can also go www.mousesavers.com and look at their link for tickets for the info on Connections and their website. I don't plan to keep my membership, I'll cancel before my one month trial membership is up, this way it only costs me the $1.00 processing fee.

The $381 credit on my charge card from Southwest, more than covers the cost of my two daughters' 4 day hopper passes.

Good luck.

No I did not book online. I just went to SWA's website, put in my dates of travel, from Hartford to Orlando, and the available flights and prices came up. I then called SWA directly, told them I saw the fare for ______ an asked them to book it. Each time, no problem, I got the fare I saw on the website. I originally booked in April, but recently started checking their website again because I heard about airfares being cheap, and each time I saw my same flight, date, time, etc. for a cheaper price, I called and asked them for a credit. Not sure how they did it because my tickets were nonrefundable, but I don't care how they did it, I just got $381.00 back on my credit card!!!

no USAir will only give you the vouchers. except in the event of a death(meaning one of the party traveling has passed away) the reason they do this is because 85% of the vouchers are never used and this means that usair still has that money. Sorry.

Thanx for the reply and especially for the link!
Have a great time at WDW!
