Just booked with Delta but nowhere on their website did it say if a meal or snack was served. We are flying at 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
What has your experience been?

As far as meals go that had been served on longer flights (sorry I can't conjure up any more memories of other past meals right now) I can recall one time having a boneless grilled chicken breast entree with some kind of pasta alongside mixed steamed vegetables with a small side salad and roll.

There were soft drinks (remember Coke and Sprite) along with tea, milk, coffee, and water.

In reference to snacks sometimes we have had the bag of peanuts and other times we had a bag of trail mix that was served with a beverage which was available during shorter flights of a little bit over an hour.

We have never flown that early before; the earliest has always been around noon so I don't know about how early they would start serving passengers inflight breakfasts or what they may be (since you are heading out at 6 am).

But, we have come back home before around the 6 pm time frame and were served dinner meals during flights that like lasted pretty close to three or so hours for instance but only got snacks for times significantly shorter than that.

Ususally, when we have been mailed Delta paper tickets they specify on there whether a meal or snack will be served. If you didn't see it on their website when you booked and you are not getting the paper tix (to see if it listed listed on there) then I think you will be o.k. to call customer service and check the details.

Maybe some one who has booked directly on the Delta website also can pass along a method of somehow accessing meal iteniraries on there too (Bumping this up)

Hope this helps; have a great time!

I've flown Delta at 7 a.m. and have gotten a bag of crackers/nuts/pretzels - it's a mix. I don't care for it, but the kids like it. We usually bring our own bagels for that early flight.

Just came back from MCO on Delta. They offer a Fruit filled granola bar, tootsie roll and something else in their packet. They give them out just before serving drinks!

I still have two left over! Was thinking about ebaying them! Just kidding..........

FYI - Southwest offers peanuts and a drink!

We bring our own stuff (keeps the kids and hubby busy and quiet during the trip).

Best of luck to you..............L

Laurajean is right on with what Delta serves-at least on Delta express. The other item she couldn't remember is a tiny package of pretzel Goldfish crackers-the dryest pretzels I've ever eaten! I usually plan on eating ahead of time or bringing something myself to snack on.

I just flew Delta at 6:30 a.m. from Providence to Atlanta, and we were served a cup of yogurt (peach going down, strawberry coming back), a danish, a banana, and orange juice. You could also get coffee, milk, soda, etc. if you wanted.

Since I am not a big breakfast person, this was perfect. In fact, I ended up saving my banana for later! DD and I are headed to WDW next month on a 3 p.m. flight. Probably will only get the peanuts/pretzels on that one.

On past lunch time flights with Delta, I've had ham or turkey sandwhiches, with a brownie or cookie, and crackers with cheese. I really don't have complaints about the amount or quality of the food. Very decent for the airlines!

P.S. I always fly coach, so I have no idea what the first class are served. I would assume they get more than yogurt!

In general, there is virtually no food service on Delta Express when I've flown. You do get drinks and the snack mix, but that's about it. On Delta flights, the food service is better. Generally, the food tends to be rather plain and not too spicy. If you do have meal service, you could consider requesting a special meal, such as vegetarian, kosher, etc. I have heard that these are better than the general food, but have never tried them myself.

I always bring snacks and drinks on the plabe just to be on the safe side.
