Airline Safety Belt for 1 year old

We will be traveling to WDW on September 12th with our family. We have a 1year old grandson with his own seat. My daughter is worried about keeping him seated in his seat with just a lap belt. I have seen on line that they sell 5point Safety Seat Belts for on the airplane, but they are pretty pricey. This may be the 1 and only time she ever uses it. Just wondering if there is anyone that has one that they are looking to sell? Thanks.

The approved harness is called a CareS, and you can actually rent them via eBay for around $15. However ...

Many 1 yos will be too small to safely use a CAReS harness. They are designed for children who are at least 22 lbs.

Since she has her own seat, I would just go ahead and bring her FAA approved car seat. The familiarity might be comforting to her and she will remain secure during any turbulence.

The Cares Harness works very well for kids who fit the size guidelines and it is very convenient not to have to lug a carseat through the airport. I do have to say, though, that having travelled with my grandkids both ways, that they were more comfortable and slept better/travelled better in their FAA approved carseats when they were under two.

Thank you so much for the information. I just went on eBay and was able to rent one for him for 19.99 including shipping.

My grandson is 1-1/2 years and 24 lbs. so this should work just fine. Thanks again.
