Has anyone ever booked one way on 1 airline and one way on another airline? Just wondering if you found a better price and/or flight time for your departure trip on 1 airline and better for your return on another how that might work?

Yes, I have booked one way flights many times with different airlines to get a better price and/or more convenient flight time.

I have found the best prices when I book as early as possible.

I have booked the flight to MCO and then waited months until the next leg of the flight schedule was announced to book our return flight.

We do it frequently. Mainly because of departure times.

I have done this before. But, you need to take the time to research.

:) Bought two tickets Monday night for a quick trip tomorrow. Departure is Continental and return is Delta. The prices were awesome and we got good times too. My only concern was I could not assign seats for one leg of my flight, then rest I was able to assign. I always worry about them over selling a flight and not being able to get on .

In 2 weeks we fly down southwest and fly back jet blue. Jet blue coming back over southwest was price and you can check out at disney resort for jet blue
