I'm not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but I thought I'd ask anyway because if anyone does, it'll be here.
DD & I have our flights from Ottawa to MCO booked (Air Canada) for Oct 17th (returning Oct 26th). My neighbor & her DD are thinking of joining us if they can get a good price on airfare. The cheapest rate (for two) right now departing from Ottawa is around $1300 Canadian but we've found excellent rates departing from either Rochester or Syracuse with JetBlue & USAirways (~$400 US range which is ~$560 Canadian...a big savings!! - we figure with gas & airport parking the whole thing will cost her ~$750 Canadian...still a big savings over $1300).
What I'm wondering is how long you think these great rates on the web for these airlines (JetBlue & USAirways) will be last? Does anyone dare to guess or know? She's hoping some better Canadian rates will be out soon for October flights from Ottawa but doesn't know if she should risk losing these ones now from the US. Her first choice would be to leave from Ottawa (as Rochester & Syracuse are several hours drive away) so if some rates in the $800 range came out it would be worth it to be able to leave from here. Can we risk waiting another week or two? Thanks for any help/advice & for reading all this.
