I booked on Continental last month (great times 8:55am going and 6:50pm coming home). I just received an email that they changed my 6:50pm to 5:35pm, I know it is not a super big deal but does it have to be over 2hours difference for them to let you make a change? I wanted to take the earlier flight down there (7:40am) since they took an 1 1/2 away from coming back. Thanks.

Generally yes, the change has to be at least 2 hours or they will charge a fee for you to make any changes.
It certainly could not hurt to give the airline a call to see what they will do for you.

We just changed our flights on AA without charge due a a 5 minute schedule change, but every airline has different rules. Call and see what they will do for you. And, if you don't get the answer you want, try calling again.

Best of luck -- Suzanne

Not only do different airlines have different rules, but also different policies and even may vary their treatment based on fare paid, past history with the passenger, and even demographics. It surely cannot hurt to ask.
