Airline baggage service

How many of you feel the way I do.
I hope so much that they bring back the Airport baggage handling service.
It was the most helpful thing on departure day.
I would even be open to paying a small fee for the service.
The service allowed us to go have a nice breakfast and visit a park for an hour or so before
having to head to the Airport without having to worry about curbside check in.
Has anyone heard about this returning ?

I too am really hoping this comes back! With magical express ending at the end of the year does anyone think that’s going to happen? I kind of figured once that was announced the luggage service wouldn’t come back. I know they operate separately and the luggage service is through the airport but just seems like perks are headed the other direction.

I could be misremembering but I thought I read once that Disney had removed the airline checkin section from some resorts? So I would think if that were true, it’s not looking too good for a return.

Damn, I have a trip in December, I didn't realize they weren't doing this anymore! THAT was one of the nicest perks of staying on property, one less line to stand in at the airport.

We were at AK Kidani in April. I was hoping to weigh my bags. Nothing was left.

RAC made check out day not as harsh - it was a great service.
Unless someone can turn a profit out of it (doubtful), I don't see RAC returning.

I think people are talking about the Resort Airline check in which I thought was run by TSA agents? Or did the same company that was used for DME do the taking of luggage back to the airport?

I think the same company did the bags back to airport, yes. (It would make a lot of sense, too! Why deadhead back to MCO when they could run loaded for $$?!)

You can contract with them directly for the same kind of service, a lot of hassle compared to just having it as a part of bell services... ish.
