Airhead moment!

I washed a couple loads of towels today. I put the last load in the dryer and put a blanket in the wash. As I was doing this DD had an accident in the bathroom. So I took a clean towel and cleaned it up. Then I threw the towel in with the blanket thinking, the whole time, that I was throwing it in with more towels.

The problem is the blanket is RED! The towel is white. And I didn't realize it until 10 minutes later when it finally dawned on me what I did.

I think I am losing it at 26.

Anyone else have an airhead moment today?

Like, you mean when my hairdresser called today to set up an appt for my haircut, and i told her "I need a bad haircut as soon as possible"!

LOL, I tried to recover, but I think she was a little ticked. I am afraid to get my haircut tomorrow!.


One good think about white towels, you can bleach the heck outta them.

You mean like when I go to drive my daughter to school in the morning and drive right past it? That's because I drive the same way to work and whenever I go that way I just assume I'm going to work.

Or maybe you mean like the time I drove right by the kids school, got half way to work and THEN said to them... "why are you two still in the car?". They still tease me about that one.

Or the time my daughter asked me to help her put her shoes on, and I put them on the wrong feet and couldn't understand why they were uncomfortable to her! LOL Trust me, we've all had days like that!! I hate to admit it, but I have moments like these EVERY DAY!

There have been a couple of times I have put the opened up the fridge to find a box of cereal in there and, yep, you guessed it, the milk was in the cupboard.

you mean like the time we were going to disney world and flew out of omaha and dh forgot to buy a paper before we left. We had a layover in minn and when we got off the plane i told dh "there is a paper machine--maybe they have an omaha paper"
He said--yeah right we are in minn. like they would have neb. papers here!

I cant list all my airhead moments here! I could write a book about them!

Like the time I tried to get to cute on my jungle boat and fell right into the river...

or the time I returned the rented DVDs to the wrong video store.

or the time I was in St. Louisat a Cardinals game bought a beer and a hot dog...went to dress the hot dog and walked off..leaving my precious $8.00 beer on the counter... I miss you $8.00 beer..where ever you are.

How about this past Tues. when I was trying to get a popsicle out of the tray. I was trying to warm the plastic with my hand and having such a hard time getting it loose, than later that night going DUH why didn't you just run it under warm water.

My favorite................standing in the parking lot of the mall, unable to get my car open because I lost the transmitter thingy (fell off my keychain somewhere). Not bad enough I lost it, but I call DH and say "Everything else is here - just the transmitter fell off." So DH says, "Well, if you have the rest of your keys, why don't you just use the key to open the car." DUH!!!!!

These are so funny....I'm glad I'm not the only one who has stupid moments. I made a hot cup of tea a few weeks ago and put the Splenda in the refrigerator and the milk in the cupboard Good thing it didn't stay there long, we really would have had a smelly mess on our hands. I remember looking at it and think, "Did I really put that there?"
