Good morning!

I'm trying to get together a trip in November to WDW, and am trying to decide about booking the airfare now or waiting. I will be flying Southwest, as is my mother and her best friend. The fares were a little cheaper last week when I checked, but I'm really hoping for the kind of fares they are offering for September. Does anyone know what the chances are of this being available for November? Is the first part of the month a slow time for travel, or will the fares probably be higher due to Thanksgiving in the same month?

Thanks for your input!

you can always rebook SW if the fares do go down and get some kind of "refund" ( ticketless travel funds/credit card refund )

if they do not go down. at least you do not have to worry about having the tickets NOW

SW does not charge a fee for changing, thus there is nothing to lose if you know you are going for sure

We were able to get "internet special" flights a few weeks ago on Southwest. They were $59 one way from Buffalo to Orlando, and with taxes, etc. that works out to $540.80 for a family of 4 to fly roundtrip. Our dates are November 11th - November 21st. It looks like you need to check Southwest every day in order to take advantage of their specials.

Thanks for your responses.

I looked about a week ago, and the cheapest was $74 each way from Jackson, MS. I was hoping for a really great fare, like $39 or $49 each way. I know it was offered for June and September, so I'm thinking that possibly it will be offered again. I just don't know if November brings along cheap fares due to slow travel.

If you are traveling the week of Thanksgiving, then BOOK IT NOW!!! I guarantee if you wait, not only will the fare not go down, but the flights will sell out and you'll really be up a creek with no paddle!

If you're going any other time, then you may want to wait. Personally, I'd book it and get a credit if the fare drops, but you should do what makes you comfortable.

I'm looking for about the first week or so in November, so I'll check that out. Thanks for the advice!
