Checked for flights for our January trip on Sunday that's when Jet Blue updated. Flights were $118 each way. I just checked today and the prices have gone up to $193 going and $139 returning. Question is, do I just book today? Does the airline refund a portion if new flights added are cheaper? Very unsure of what to do. Jet blue is the cheapest so far compared to other airlines out of JFK. Thanks :thumbsup2

I have always heard that airfare tends to fluctuate and most times is at the lowest rate right around the 3 month mark. This philosophy held ttrue for our trip in 2006, and also for our upcoming September voyage. I stalked Southweast for a while and sweated as I saw fares rise to almost $400 rt. Low and behold, right around the 3 month mark and secured our flight for $200. I know each airline has different policies about flight changes..most charge a fee (although Southwest does not) I'd say you are probably safe to wait and see how the rates look at the end of the summer.

You need to read your airline's Contract of Carriage, which is available at their website, to see the terms for ticket refunds.

JetBlue will reissue your ticket if the price goes down, however, as with almost every other airline (exception is WN), you will have to pay a change ticket fee of $100 per ticket, unless you bought an expensive fully refundable ticket.
