I have a friend trying to find the cheapest airline tickets to Wisconsin Dells in June. Right now American Airlines is showing $264 for a round trip. Should she wait and see if it goes lower or does it tend to get higher the closer it gets. TIA for any help!

Waiting for airfare is like playing the stock market! Sometimes you look really smart by waiting, and sometimes, well...not so smart. Sometimes the price will go up, and sometimes it will go down.

Is your friend a gambler? My opinion is: if she is comfortable with the price now she should book it.

Absolutely. $264 roundtrip would be low enough for me to book any flight, anywhere. Sure it could go lower, but it could also go higher.
