Airfare Question...

Dang my airfare went down by $50 per person today. I am flying with Alaska. Does anyone know if I can get that credited back to my card or its just a loss and bad luck? I don't want to call and be on hold forever if there is no way I can get that back! Thanks.

1) Have you checked Alaska Air's website for that information?
2) Have you called Alaska Air in the past and been on hold forever? If not, you probably won't be on hold forever this time either, if you choose to call.
3) IF you purchased a refundable fare, yes. If you purchased a non-refundable aka lowest you could find fare, probably not.

Yes I checked the website and couldn't find anything. I thought I would come here and ask all you experienced flyers first. Sorry if that was a problem.

Problem? No. But checking Alaska Air's website, I found

At the bottom of the home page is a link to the site map http://www.alaskaair.com/contents.asp
On the site map, one of the choices under "Air" is refunds https://www.alaskaair.com/booking/ssl/refunds/RefundsStart.asp
On the refunds page, it states Instant Travel customers may request a refund for an electronic ticket with an untraveled itinerary and a refundable fare. For a partial refund or for options regarding a non-refundable fare, call Alaska Airlines at 1-800-ALASKAAIR or Horizon Air at 1-800-547-9308.
So, once again - IF you purchased a refundable fare, yes. If you purchased a non-refundable aka lowest you could find fare, probably not. So, in addition to me advising that you call, Alaska Air REQUIRES it if you purchased a non-refundable fare.
