Airfare... pulled the trigger! :)

I ended up booking the five of us out of Buffalo on non stops. We're taking Jetblue on the way down and Southwest on the way back. I was pretty happy to get them for 1580 (that includes bags, seats, and early bird check in for the Southwest leg). However the Southwest leg has dropped twice now which is surprising since we are coming back Labour Day weekend on the Monday.

So I have a credit for 295 now for our next trip
So it worked out to 257 return all in.

That's a great deal! We seriously considered flying from Buffalo but the hassle of driving and getting across the border for such an early flight would have been too much.

Those are my thoughts exactly! We were going to fly out of Buffalo as well, but we've decided to fly just fly out of Toronto instead. It is closer to where we live, we'll avoid any trouble at the border and bad weather (snow!!), and the flight time on the way there is better. I did a little math, and we would only be saving about $240 by flying from BUF!

I haven't pulled the trigger yet and bought airfare, but it looks like we will be flying with Sunwing again. They have the best prices so far. I'm just waiting a little bit to see if the price drops at all (although I doubt it will).

I love sunwing! We have used them twice for our trips now. I like that the bags are included in the pirce plus you get a complimentary HOT meal on the flight plus many other complimentary things such as drinks. For us to drive to Buffalo and go across the border would probably take four hours from where we live and the gas and time is just not worth it for us.

For cheap flight out of buffalo..hubby thouht 6am is too early with our girls..wr wold be heading to the states at 2 am...eeek! We really like jetblue time....10 am, but they want 200.00 one way..owie!

This year we are flying from Rochester, but we have always flown from Buffalo in the past. We usually book a hotel through ParkSleepFly.com and stay there the night before our flights and leave our car at the hotel for the duration of our trip. That way we are pretty much right across from the airport and just need to wake up and take the hotel shuttle across the street. When we land back in Buffalo we just call the shuttle to pick us up and they take you right to your car. We have never had a problem doing this and the hotel stay and leaving your car is about the same price as parking your car at the airport.

Just offering a different scenario than driving at 1 or 2 am and staying up all night to catch an early flight.
