I posted this on another board but I think I'll probably get a better response here. What is considered a good (or an average) price for airfare in January and March. I'm open to flying Air Canada, Westjet, SW... or with whomever has the best price :goodvibes

TIA!

Well, lets see. it really depends alot as to where you live. BUT i will tell you things that DH and i have noticed when we were looking at prices this past January. We has noticed in the past that there is always (typically) a seat sale that goes on with both Air Canada and West Jet (gotta love competition :thumbsup2 ) we live in Sydney Nova Scotia and right now for us to fly it is 400 one way :scared1: BUT there is hope, during the January sales you can fing flights that are 169 each way :goodvibes (you will NOT beat that) and typically the seat sale will last long enough so that if you book it in January you will still be able to fly through March.

So hopefully this has given you a bit of a help with figuring things out, and it hasn't confused you  anymore than you need to be, haha.

But if you are able to hold off until January you will pretty much ALWAYS run into a seat sale.

Yoplit - Whoops! It use to say Toronto in my location and not just Canada. The $169 price is about what we paid for our most recent trip. We got that price from an Air Canada seat sale, without the discount it was pretty pricey.

I was able to book flights for my family on United Airlines for Jan31-Feb 14 of next year for $360 per person all taxes included, and this is flying from Edmonton, Alberta.

Last year in October I paid $347 per person for a similar flight, but on Delta.

I would say just do some digging around. Set your self up with a fare watcher on travelocity and it will email you when a flight goes below a certain fare, you have lots of time to book yet and I'm sure something will come along, but when it does, jump on it, they go fast. Even when I booked mine the price was changing as I booked, went up $5 per person while doing the searches, one hour later those prices were all gone.
