Airfare for September - Need help!

Hi, we are flying out of Little Rock to MCO at the beginning of September and still have not booked our flights. I am not good at waiting and am wondering if I have already waited too long. Right now the price is over $300 per person (there is 4 of us) and that is more than I want to spend. I know we paid around $250 each in May. I keep thinking it will go down due to some type of summer sale but I am afraid that nothing is going to happen and tickets will instead skyrocket. How long do you guys wait? When due airlines have sales? Is there any way to predict when sales will occur? I would love any type of advice on this. We definitely need to spend as little as possible on airfare as we are already past our budget.

We went last year at the same time and the fares were about $50 less per person. I tried to check my old credit card statements yesterday to see when I paid for the airfare but I can't find them. Anyway, I am hoping the airfares go down too. But I don't know how much longer to wait. Hopefully you at least got the free dining plan. I am getting hungry just thinking about all the yummy food.

You're not alone....I haven't booked my September airfare yet either. I keep thinking there's going to be a sale. Fare are usually at their lowest for September....has something to do with hurricanes in FL. I have to buy 9 tickets, and watch everyday. Luckily for us we fly out of Wash. DC/Dulles, so we usually get pretty decent prices, but only have 2 non-stop carriers out of Dulles (TED and FlyI). Right now, no one seems to be having a summer sale....all it takes is one airline to announce a sale and the others will follow! good luck!
