I am planning a cruise for March 2008 leaving on Easter Sunday from Port Canaveral. The airfare from Newark/Phila to Orlando for that week is simply outrageous right now ... $ 550 plus pp for a non-stop flight !!!

I missed the day that the schedules opened for Continental and Spirit :headache: and am now stuck waiting for JetBlue, Airtran and SW to open their schedules and hope they offer some decent fares.

Does anyone remember how much fares were for last Easter week when they first opened the schedules for these airlines ?

You can look up that info on FareCast. We've never traveled during that time - because of the prices, basically! - so I can offer no assistance.

I'm not sure what they were when they first came out, but a few months before, we were able to get $49 flights each way on SW and Airtran.

We flew airtran PHL-MCO on Thursday before Easter and back the Thursday after Easter for $212 rt (including taxes) for a non-stop flight. We were going to drive unless we got good airfare, I think we booked the airfare in February. We ended up adjusting our time a Disney to arrive on Thursday, because the flights were all booked and more expensive on Friday and Saturday of Easter weekend.

Good Luck!
