My dad is planning ahead and looking into airfare options for our family reunion trip next year. He's interested in AirTran because they are the only airline that flies non-stop from our city. The next-closest airport offering non-stop flights is over 2 hours away and we are not looking to drive that far with our group.

AirTran has a place on their website where you can request a quote for your group of 10 or more. Does anyone have any experience with this? It looks like you have to wait until the flights are released because the form asks you which flight you would like a quote for. I'm just curious if there is any advantage to booking as a group. Do they offer a small discount? Advanced seat assignments?

Any other affordable options to get 8 adults, 6 kids and one infant to Orlando by air? (Oh, and we won't have a rental car when we're there either so flying into another airport is also not an option.)
