Airfare advice please!

We are going to WDW in October.I am one of those plan everything in advance including buying plane tickets (11 months out for my last trip!!). When I check airfares, which I do regularly, many times I see fares closer to our trips that are much lower. Last year in August, fares for October went as low as $135.00 roundtrip from Bos to Mco.Also Boston now has JetBlue which was not available last year for October. For all of you seasoned airfare buyers, would you wait to buy tickets til August? I am thinking that prices will come down as summer winds down and hoping the gas prices will start declining by then in additional to the usual end-of-the-summer discounts.I know about the vouchers etc, usually more of a hassle than anything....

I am in the same situation - I usually buy my air tickets well in advance and usually get a good deal. So I am waiting 1 more month to see what happens and to see if OPEC will start producing more oil in hopes that gas prices go down by the end of the year. I also feel airlines will have to have some kind of fare sale by then. I check several times a day. Good luck!

You have to think of it as a game, which is played with goal of lowest price airfare. You play it until you win. October is not a heavy travel month for pleasure and you'll find something. As long as your travel schedule is totally flexible and you could go at a day's notice! Also, check out the resort (s) you are interested in. I'm going to believe October is an off season for them as well.
Wonderful month to travel! Most of us are knee-deep in football and volleyball to go anywhere!!
