All Air Transat flights to the US including Orlando are now cancelled for the summer. You’re gonna have to get lucky that other airlines have availability of Orlando flights. Otherwise, the closest to Disney you’ll be is online.

Air Transat is only one of many airlines that fly from Canadian cities into Orlando. There are also too many options to count if you add in connecting flights.

What is gained by causing unnecessary stress? There are many other opportunities for people to fly from Canadian cities to Orlando and no reason to panic. Not cool!

Those opportunities may be limited in availability.

It’s a chance to learn about DIS features like Ignore. OP loves to try to stress people out. Take a look at their attempt to freak people out about traveling to… drumroll… Cuba! link

OP there is enough anxiety and stress in the world today. Don't add to it by posting such an uninformed thread. As others have said there are many other options available to Canadians wanting to go to Florida.

Personally Air Transat is not an airline I would ever consider travelling with.

According to hopper there are dozens of flights with availability going to the US daily for this summer. That is also only from Toronto to Orlando because that is what I searched. There would be dozens more from other cities as well. Google flights would show the same thing

And you may post a useful thread someday. Lik others, Air Transat isn't an airline I look to fly on but have never had trouble finding flights to WDW (and didn't just now when I did quick check to see if you what you were posting had any link to reality).

Doesn't seem to be much love for Air Transat here. Is there a problem with them? We are flying with them the first time ever this summer to Disneyland Paris (but booked club class seats).

Not sure why OP made it seem like there the only ones that fly.

The good thing is there are every other carrier that flies to Orlando. Sure loosing 1 of the many sucks but there’s still quite a few.

@deedubb Your flight to Europe will be fine. I just have a personal preference for the major airlines. My BIL will only fly with Air Canada (somewhat limiting)

@deedubb I flew Air Transat from Rome to Montreal then transfer to Toronto last spring. We had a 4 hour delay on the transfer from Montreal to Toronto because of mechanical problems and were off loaded then boarded again 2x and taxied from gate to runway back and forth before we off loaded again to the terminal when another plane was brought in. Other guests extremely agitated by that point as knew would miss Toronto flight connections and threatening flight stewards. Flight stewards joked and told war stories of worse delays throughout so didn't calm the situation. Airport security called in to control our last boarding on substitute plane. I did receive some comp for the delay but only because it was part of an international flight from Europe and compensation was mandated under EU rules. Both planes really showed their age. Service and food onboard was adequate. Cold and basic described both service and food. The only reason I chose Air Transat for the flight was price. Saved hundreds vs Air Canada. I began flying Air Transat when it was a charter from Toronto to Cuba decades ago and quality comparable to Air Canada then and significantly cheaper. Think Air Transat is now considered a hybrid with both regular scheduled flights and charters. I wouldn't fly Air Transat again unless it was truly the only economical option ie over $700 difference per person. ps Edited to add: I never felt in danger at all. Just very inconvenient and stressful. Also just one experience. Your mileage truly may vary. Air Transat couldn't stay in business if this was a common experience.

I actually prefer Transat to Air Canada. Yes, it's a vacatikn airlines, so it's full.of people who rarely fly and don't always know the rules. But the staff is nice, they have little extras for kids, legroom a bit better than average. I flew with them to Orlando the first time we went with the kids, because I wanted a direct flight, and the only options from Montreal are (were...) Air Transat or Air Canada, and it was actually cheaper. For last 2 trips, I did not even price out both options, I was happy with Transat and the pricepoint.

Just picking up on this threads....

1. Air Transat was only operating two flights to Florida, with no more than 1 flight per day
2. As many have pointed out, as a charter airline, what Air Transat does or doesn't, it is very irrelevant
3. Any action by Air Transat is primarily motivated by the fact that they have been bleeding cash, they do need to reallocate aircrafts where demand is highest.
4. The market for Florida remains highly competitive. Air Transat is definitely not the first name that comes to mind when thinking of a vacation to Florida. Charter flights from Montreal (or Toronto) to the Caribbeans and Europe... yes... point to point within Canada or to the US no.

While ALL airlines are reviewing capacity to/from Canada and the US, MCO is doing just fine either with direct or connecting flights.

UPDATE: the cancellations are now PERMANENT. This airline is NEVER GOING BACK to the United States ever again.

Thank you for your information on this matter - but again, in the airline industry, nothing is really ever permanent, as long as an airline exists. As stated in my reply above, Transat is having some serious financial difficulties and as a charter airline, their route decisions are inconsequential. They will cut routes that they deem to be less profitable for now. They also have a number of leased planes that they have to return to lessors - so no planes, no flights...
