Just wanted to let you know that this is the second time we have booked with Air Trans out of BUF or ROC. We are flying down Nov 12 and back Nov 19 and the flights were $69 there and $79 rtn. This is only $10 more on the return flight than SW and same on the going there price, and I was able to get depature and return times which are much saner for us (no more returning home at 7 in the morning for us!!).

I love both SWA and Air Trans, and suggest people consider both if looking to fly out of either BUF or ROC. :thumbsup2

Yeah I'm returning on Nov 12 with SW at an early hour! I'm hoping the later flights will drop in price so I can switch.

My dates are the same as yours DutchsMommy. But we are flying Southwest.

69$ each way. Only hitch is our return flight on the 19th leaves MCO at 6:50 am:guilty: . DH wants it that way so he has the day to relax before having to return to work on the 20th.

We've done that the past few times and I really wanted to take it easy this trip, try and sleep in a bit, not be so commando. We've purchased DVC and so I'm hoping we can do several small trips a year so I don't have such a need to do 'everything' and come home more tired than when we left. This way we can leave home at a sane time to get to BUF and also wake up at a reasonable hour to come home. My only worry is the border on Nov 12th - Remembrance/Veterans Day - I am hoping it is not crazy crossing into BUF. We usually go Queenston/Lewiston so I'll just have to listen to the radio on the way there to so which way is best and keep my fingers crossed!

We are actuallu trying to take it easy this trip too. We only purchased 3 park hopper days and will be trying a one day at park one day relaxing trip. Not sure how this will go over with my kids.

Does the US get Monday the 12th off? To be honest I had even thoght about that. Now you have me worried! Our flight leaves at 1:15 pm so we need to leave about 9:00 am and then we are looking at morning rush hour on the QEW ahhhhhhhh :scared1: Just tell me I am over thinking it all!
As for the bridge we crossed at the Peace bridge last year with almost no delays. There is a 1 800 number to call with info on bridge tfaffic and we call that to find out just before we got to the Queenston cut off.

I just booked with AirTrans as well - much saner flight times direct to MCO from BUF! 89 one way 117 the other (could have left for 89 at 6:50 in the morning - not going to get up at 4 in the morning!)

I think I am getting too old for the commando - willing to pay a little extra for my sanity too. We just joined DVC as well so we always know this won't be our last trip

It is veterans day in the states so likely some people have the day off but maybe not all (like our remembrance day maybe?). I would think the rush hour would not be so bad as it is a holiday - and won't we be going against traffic anyway? We are planning on leaving around 9am as well. IF we have extra time we'll hit Walden Galleria. I'll look for that 1 800 number though - thanks.

Sorry to hijack but I have a related ?...........

At the border do the customs officers ever seem to have a problem when you tell them you are going to Buffalo airport for a flight to Disney?

No, it is actually a fairly common occurrence. We got-"Have a good time." :cool1:

We live in NB. Our March break is March 1st- March 8th ....

Why would they care? You're going to spend cash to help out the good ol' U.S. economy!!!

Never - and we have done this at least 5X in the last 2 years :scared1:

We are going for a short stay Nov 25 to 30. Air Trans has a somewhat good fare for the flight home at $89 (missed the special), but the flight there is expensive at $191. Southwest is similarly expensive for both days.

I wonder if I should just pick the $89 flight home and hope for a Ding for the flight there. Any input?

Sorry for the quasi threadjack...
